Branch outlets are often utilized where a customer plans to tap into the existing pipe run with minimal cutting. They cut the hole appropriate to the branch size, and weld the branch piece directly to the run. The branch outlet is already cut to length and “fish-mouthed” to the run it will be attached to. Saves significant time in the field trying to match a challenging contour.
